Good to know
Questions, answered
New to sound healing or breathwork? Here's what to expect — and anything I haven't covered, just ask.
I've never done this before — is that okay?+
Completely. Most people at a gathering are first-timers or close to it. There's nothing to prepare and nothing to get right — you simply arrive, get comfortable, and let the sound and breath do the work.
What actually happens at a sound bath?+
You lie down (or sit, if you prefer), close your eyes, and are bathed in the tones of crystal bowls, gongs, and other instruments. There's no chanting or participation required — your only job is to rest and receive.
What should I bring or wear?+
Wear something comfortable you can fully relax in. For in-person gatherings, a yoga mat, pillow, and blanket make it cozier — bring your own if you have them; otherwise just come as you are. For virtual sessions, set up a quiet, comfortable spot with headphones if possible.
What's the difference between reiki, breathwork, and a sound bath?+
Sound healing uses instruments and resonance to settle your system into deep rest. Breathwork uses guided breathing to move energy and emotion and shift your state. Reiki is gentle, hands-on (or distance) energy work to clear and balance. They pair beautifully, and a 1:1 session can blend them to what you need.
Is breathwork safe for everyone?+
Breathwork is powerful and deeply relaxing, but some active techniques aren't recommended for everyone — including during pregnancy or with certain heart, blood pressure, seizure, or other medical conditions. If anything applies to you, please check with your doctor first and let me know so we can adjust. These practices support wellbeing and are not a substitute for medical or mental-health care.
In person or virtual — what's the difference?+
In person, you feel the instruments physically — the vibration is part of the experience. Virtual sessions are wonderfully effective too, especially with headphones, and let us work together from anywhere. 1:1 reiki, breathwork, and sound baths are all available either way.
How do I book and pay?+
Group gatherings can be reserved directly. Private 1:1 sessions begin with a request while Laura finalizes availability. Mentorship, private events, and corporate experiences begin with an inquiry and consultation. Your card is saved to hold your appointment — you won't be charged until after your session.
Can you come to my event or workplace?+
Yes — private events and corporate/team sessions are some of my favorite work. Both begin with a short inquiry and a discovery call so we can shape the right fit for your group and your space.
Do you offer gift cards?+
Yes. A sound bath or session makes a deeply nourishing gift — reach out and I'll get one set up for you.
